There is another case I don't think Jon mentioned, which is that of the
hifalutin poetry that is also good poetry, and good in spite of not being
terribly congenial to those of a lofalutin cast of mind. I think its
reasonable to argue that the value of a poem is completely orthogonal to its
RFI (renormalised falution index, the standard metric for assessing the
levity or profundity of a cultural artifact's falutingness); that allows you
to take account of the rubbish poetry at both ends of the Falutini scale,
too.
