Very nice collection. Do you photograph, as well? - Deborah
Oh dear, yes, Deborah, it is a sigh. I wrote it just after my fortieth
birthday, ai the years!
Here's another one for you:
Chrome Hill
A sound wave labours
on a Hertz chart; the ridge aims
at the northern stars.
A snake struggles on
a survey-staff; the ridge turns
to the northern stars.
Broken-backed and bound
by the earth's hold, the ridge strains
for the northern stars.
Best

A bit of sigh, isn't it?

An old cycle on
Steep Street creaks like a bed. It,
too, remembers youth.
