Hi Klaus,
Thank you for taking the time to offer some new contributions, and
corrections. The list we have so far has been contributed to by a
relatively small number of people. The nature of your contribution
highlights particularly well how valuable a wider range of input will be
to this project.
To answer your question "but who will define them?". We will be using
volunteers, hopefully from many places throughout the world. We ask the
members of this list to add their efforts - and will continue to ask
them, if there is no objection.
The process we will follow is being defined. The idea is to collate a
list of terms (this is continuing). We will ask (and assist) volunteers
to locate examples of uses of each term. These examples will be verified
to ensure their authenticity. Following this, they will be compiled by
an Editorial team or teams into a broad glossary of terminology related
to design. We are keen to also develop other resources for the design
community along the way.
This will take some time; it is not a light undertaking. We have a
dedicated core team.
The broader the range of knowledge, background, and expertise
exemplified by all the people working this project, the richer and more
valuable the results will be for the field of design.
Thanks once again, and please continue supporting this effort.
Best wishes,
Chris Kemmett
