Hello,

A design stream was included for the first time at the recent 9th ANZSYS (Australian and New Zealand Systems) conference organized by Monash University at the Sheraton Hotel in Melbourne over the 18-20 November. The success of the Design stream suggests it is likely to be a standard feature of the conference in future. A particularly fine presentation on the design side was that of Johann van der Merwe - undertaken without visual aids. A review of the papers presented at the conference showed, unexpectedly, that almost all were design related or of interest to those using systems approaches in design and design research. Some examples are listed below. Further details of the conference are found at http://www.monash.edu.au/oce/anzsys2003/index.html

Best regards,

Terry
