Hi Noreen
Last year we produced a set of tapes for carers of people with cancer,
in Bengali (Sylheti) Cantonese, Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu. I
enclose a brief information sheet about them. Please feel free to give
me a call about the production process - it was quite an undertaking!

Subject: Re: Audio Tapes in Community Languages
Dear All
Our service is in the process of producing audio cassettes/CDs of basic
drug and alcohol information for a number of different BME communities
and we would like to get an idea of anyone who has produced any health
education in audio format in community languages, it doesn't matter what
the subject area is, its just that we would like to get an idea of the
translation and format.
Languages we are initially looking at are:
Urdu or Hindi
Mirpuri Punjabi
Bengla
Gujarati
Kurdish
Arabic
French
I'd be most grateful for any contacts.
Thanks
Noreen Sheikh
