I have just read with horror the suggestion that a woman should have an
elective CS for congenital hip displacement. As a midwife, mother of three
and having experienced a missed CDH which led me to have a hip replacement
in my twenties. I had no problems having had one child before the hip
replacement and two afterwards. I had completely normal deliveries!
