The Natural History Museum is advertising the post of New Media Developer
for the Darwin Centre - can you please forward this on to anyone you think

New Media Developer
£20,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on skills and experience)
Permanent appointment

The Natural History Museum is internationally recognised for its dual role
as a centre of scientific excellence and as a leading visitor attraction,
presenting natural history to the general public through exhibitions.

Working for the Darwin Centre Live, your job will be to provide the core
technical capability to maintain and develop the Darwin Centre Archive www
resource and associated materials.

You will be responsible for:
… developing and maintaining the web archive of Darwin Centre Live sessions
… editing digital video and other digital media resources making it suitable
for streaming
… maintaining core Darwin Centre web pages
… assisting with production of live webcasts.

Qualifications and experience:
Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will be experienced in editing
digital streamed media and the development of web materials. You will be
proficient in using video and image editing software, as well as developing
HTML, CSS and database web applications.
At least two years' experience of developing web materials and links with
the streaming media industry would be an advantage. An A level in science
and/or an interest in science would also be of benefit.
You will have proven organisational and presentation skills combined with
excellent attention to detail, and will have experience of working as part
of a multi-professional team.
