Danville Fourie from Wellington, South Africa
(This year’s Anthony Thompson award winner, librarian
at Mitchell’s Plain public and community library)
Danville Fourie is coming to the UK to learn how to
achieve a broader library membership, how to encourage
use of the library as a centre of learning and
relaxation, and how to reach adult members of the
public. Mr Fourie wants to build bridges with one or
more libraries in the UK – come along to hear how
resource-sharing in South Africa is carried out.
Contribute to the discussion on the development of
ideas for sustaining services.
