well at least if you knew that it took 5 hours before your cards would
be fed into the computer and you got your results back, you jolly well
thought about what you were doing. the quicker results come back now,
the less users think about or understand what they are doing and
expectations are also greater since less user programming is performed.
I used to love using the card sorting machine to find out
frequencies of values in each card column
