We are seeking a customer orientated individual to join the team providing a range of membership services to internal and external users of a busy research-led university library.
Your duties will include a wide range of user services activities, the provision of membership and registration duties and specific administrative responsibility across one or more areas of the section.
Experience of work in a customer service environment, including cash handling skills, together with good interpersonal skills, are essential. Previous library experience would be an advantage.

An opportunity to gain valuable training and experience in a busy research-led University Library.
You will receive on the job training to assist with the provision of a wide range of front-line Library Services and basic level enquiry work at reception, information and periodicals service points. There will also be the opportunity to undertake project work and assist with stock moves and reorganisation of space, as required.
Experience of work in a customer service environment, including cash handling skills, together with good interpersonal skills, is desirable. This is a one-year post which would provide an excellent opportunity for someone who wished to gain practical experience in a library environment in preparation for library school studies.

A vacancy exists for you to join the team providing a wide range of services to support and maintain the smooth operation of the Library.
Working with User Services and the Library Stewards, you will assist with the provision of a range of floor services. These will incorporate Front of House reception duties including the answering of basic first-line enquiries; undertaking general fire, safety and security duties; general book conservation and cleaning routines, assisting in the movement of books, furniture and equipment, and general clerical support as part of the User Services team. The post also provides an opportunity to gain experience working at our Circulation Desk which deals with the issue, return and renewal of loan items.
Together with experience in a customer service or similar environment, you will possess excellent interpersonal skills and work well as a member of a team. Basic keyboard skills and a high degree of reliability and integrity are essential.
