browse/search interface for end-users, and the procedures for indexing
resources or categorising them automatically. It covers key issues of
structure, presentation and ways of satisfying diverse user needs, and looks

Date: 25 November
Following the Turnbull report, corporate governance and risk management have
become increasingly important issues to organisations and their managers.
The Enron and Worldcom scandals bought the message home to the world, but
interest groups have long argued for corporate responsibility in many areas,
ranging from equitable rewards systems for top management and stakeholders
to confidentiality of patient information or accountability / liability for
safety. The seminar will explore what we mean by information governance, the
issues it covers and suggestions for ensuring that it becomes embedded into
the thinking of top management and all stakeholders in organisations in the
public and private sectors.
Fee: £195.00 + VAT (£229.13)
http://www.tfpl.com/skills_development/courses/cd.cfm?linkid=tr574

management strategies within the organisation. The workshop will consist of
a mixture of presentations and group exercises.
Fee: £295.00 + VAT (£346.63)

Strategic information architecture design
Speaker: Adrian Dale
Date: 28 November
This one day masterclass introduces senior information and knowledge
managers to the principles of information architecture design and their
impact on corporate strategy. Information resources are increasingly
critical corporate assets but most organisations fail to capitalise on their
value because the resources are badly organised and relatively inaccessible.
Now more than ever, it is vital that all corporate information resources are
connected into a coherent framework for management, navigation and access.
Information and knowledge managers need to drive this convergence and this
workshop gives them the tools.
Fee: £495.00 + VAT (£581.63)
