First of all thank you for your many e-mail messages following my
e-mail giving details of what might happen to the ILL Department
here at Cambridge. Most of them were received while I was on
holiday. Also, we have been delighted to receive very many requests
(142 on one particular day was a great surprise) - it has given us
hope for the future!
Nothing has been decided yet - probably by the end of August -
and I will send out another message then. I think the future
does depend on a lot of requests being received.
During August two of the staff are leaving and others are on
(pre-booked) holidays, so the staff at times may be down to one
or two. We will deal with your requests of course, but inevitably
slower than usual, which in the past has been generally one week.
No chasers please, if possible!
Again, many thanks for your support during the last few weeks.
