At Sussex we are currently testing the Self-service Interloans module on
the OPAC, but running into a few problems with timeouts. I would be
very interested to hear any experiences of TALIS users who have
implemented the Self-Requesting option for Interlibrary Loans - in
particular how long the timeout has been set for so that a borrower has
enough time to input the request details. I also wanted to know if a
timeout warning message should be displayed as this is what I understand
from reading the implementation details, however, when the time is up,
the Interloan from is cleared without any warning to the User without
being thrown off that page to the Login screen.
Any advice or experiences on setup or use of Self-requesting Interloans
on TALIS would be much appreciated.
