Apologies for Cross-Posting
I replied to a query on another listserv concerning the availability of the
C&G NVQ and it is quite clear from the flurry of responses that it is a
subject of interest to quite a lot of people out there!
Consequently, I'm taking the liberty of posting the same information here in
case it is also of interest to members:
We are currently awaiting confirmation of centre award status from C&G to
offer NVQ levels 2 and 3 to the ILS sector. Our programme is based upon
providing award centre services to organisations and institutions with their
own assessor team and/or helping them set up their own in-house team to
support in-house training (we will be formally launching this package at
Umbrella in July). The programme is entirely work-based and no formal exams
are required.
If you would like more information about our programme, we would be happy to
send you an information sheet or talk you through the programme in more
detail.
For those of you attending Umbrella 2003 at UMIST, Manchester, July 3rd/4th,
we would be delighted to meet you there (Stand 2!) and cordially invite
everyone to our presentation on 3rd July 10.30-11.00 where we will be
launching two new services:
1. The CSP ATO Support Service (Autonomous Training Organisation) -
specifically designed to provide structured support to organisations wishing
to become self-sufficient in quality training provision.
2. The CSP Core-Curriculum for Library & Information Staff – a
curriculum based upon the most successful elements of the NOF ICT training
initiative and accredited courses.
Your institution could even win a free ATO Audit by entering our free prize
draw – the winning ticket for which will be drawn by Margaret Watson, CILIP
President on FRIDAY 4th JULY, at 11a.m!
