Dear all
Can anyone help Richard with the assessment of this year's entries?
Please reply directly to Richard rather than HCLU.

Dear colleagues
The BMA Library runs an annual Patient Information Award with two separate prizes for printed materials and websites.
This award was initially developed by Mary Last in 1997 and, now in its seventh year, has grown year on year since then. We have received about 250 leaflets for the 2003 Competition.
You can read more about the award here:
http://www.bma.org.uk/ap.nsf/Content/LIBBMAPatientInformationAward
Each leaflet is assessed using a structured appraisal form. We use a team of people who work with patient information to do this but, the increasing number of entries, now make it necessary to seek new assessors.
Is anyone on the list able to help by assessing some leaflets this year?
If you wish, you may stipulate the number of leaflets that you wish to assess or specify the areas in which you are interested. I anticipate that the leaflets will be ready for despatch in a month or so. We usually allow six weeks for their return.
The only other proviso is that you should not have any potential conflict of interest. It would, for example, be inappropriate to act as an assessor if you or your department have also submitted your own leaflets.
Best wishes
Richard
