Research Fellow in Space Geodesy
The Department of Geomatic Engineering is seeking a Research Fellow to work
with Professor Paul Cross and Dr Marek Ziebart in the general field of
space geodesy. Initially the candidate will be expected to contribute to
the department’s research programme in precise satellite orbit modelling

but in the longer term a more general involvement in GNSS and space geodesy
research is anticipated.
Applicant should ideally have, or expect to obtain in the near future, a
PhD in space geodesy or a cognate subject. Experience with GPS would be an
advantage.
The appointment will be for a period of one-year in the first instance but
it is expected that a substantial extension to this will be possible
(depending on the department’s success with a number of applications for
research funding). The post is available immediately.
Salary will be on the RA 1A scale and be in the range £18,265 to £24,121
per annum, plus £2,134 per annum London Allowance.
