A reminder that the Metamorphic Studies Group Research in Progress
Meeting is to be held in Burlington House, Picadilly, London this
Thursday, 13th March. Registration commences at 10.30 am with the first
lecture at 11.00.
The Keynote speaker will be Professor William Carlson (University of
Texas, Austin), a past President of the Mineralogical Society of
America. He will talk on:
"Good rocks gone bad: The ubiquity of chemical disequilibrium during
metamorphism"
The lecture programme will end at 5.00 pm, followed by wine and
savouries until 6.00 pm. The annual General Meeting of the MSG will take
place as a short session during the meeting. The full programme can be
