Museum Education Officer (18 hours)
£22,797 - £24,201 pro rata
Enfield Museum Service is looking for an enthusiastic and committed
individual to work as part of a small team which is
working on the development of a new museum for the London borough of
Enfield in Enfield Town centre.
This will be an exciting time, building on the success of our previous
Education Officer and working towards the new museum.
Your main responsibilities will be developing our object loan service,
teaching materials and utilising the handling materials held
in our social history collections at Forty Hall Museum. By promoting and
building key links between schools, colleges and the
Museum Service you'll ensure that both adult and student audiences have
access to our services and resources.
To take on this varied role you'll need a degree in a relevant subject and
teaching experience. Alongside a firm grounding in
the National Curriculum and Life Long Learning within the context of Social
history, you are skilled in planning and promoting
unique projects. a talented administrator, you're passionate about the
value of history in a local setting and can negotiate the needs
of customers from all ages and backgrounds.
