===============================================
Further to Chris Mitchell's earlier post, here is a request for
nominations for our Electronic Resource Award. The address to read all
about the awards and previous winners is as always:

Electronic Resource Award
-------------------------
The Electronic Resource Award is given to those who create Web- or
network-based support materials that are integrated into their teaching,
in a way that improves their efficiency as lecturers.
Often, but not necessarily, the resulting site is on public access where
all of us can see it and learn from it. The judges are also interested
in innovative use of Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) and local
networks. A national panel of experts will judge the nominations.
Nominations
-----------
Nominations should include a URL of publicly available material or allow
the judges temporary access to restricted material. They should be
accompanied by a short nominating statement no longer than 200 words and
submitted via our online form:
http://www.economics.ltsn.ac.uk/awards/form_er.htm
For more information about the Electronic Resource Award see the award
Web site or contact Martin Poulter ([log in to unmask]).
Criteria
--------
The Outstanding Electronic Resource award is for UK-based academics or
teams who have developed excellent electronic teaching support
materials, whether they are embedded within a Virtual Learning
Environments, such as Blackboard or WebCT, or published as a Web page on
the Internet or an intranet.
The judging panel is looking for resources that are:
* Useful for students
* Beneficial to the efficiency of staff
* Integrated into other aspects of learning and teaching practice
* Applicable to the work of other university teachers of economics
* Innovative
The centre reserves the right not to make an award. Self-nominations are
permitted.
