Dear Colleagues,
PALATINE (the Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN) Subject Centre for Performing Arts) is facilitating the following workshop:
TEACHING USING VIDEOCONFERENCING
7 May 2003
University of Warwick
This workshop will demonstrate how to connect students and teachers
for lectures, seminars and tutorials using videoconferencing through
dedicated videoconferencing studios, or by simply using a web-camera
on top of a PC.
This workshop passes on some of the findings of the
ANNIE <http://www.ukc.ac.uk/sdfva/ANNIE/ie/index.htm> project, a
recent FDTL Drama/Theatre Studies project run by the universities of
Kent and Warwick in conjunction with other universities, that
developed practice in using technology to connect performing arts
students, academics and practitioners at a distance.
This workshop is aimed specifically at enabling lecturers to utilise the available
technologies to enhance learning and teaching in studio, seminar,
tutorial and classroom contexts.
The workshop is free of charge.
