British Dyslexia Association Computer Committee Booklets
==============================
BDACC produces several booklets which are a source of information on the
range of technology solutions that are available especially for pupils and
adults with dyslexic and allied dys-abilities. The information has been
collected and collated from teachers, parents and users to indicate what has
proved a valuable support. While the information was prepared to support
learning differences, the ideas are applicable to all learners.
The current titles available are:
Catch'em Young : suggestions for very young children who may be dyslexic
£6.00
Count on your Computer : solutions for supporting numeracy (£7.50)
Parents Guide to using computers : ideas and advice for parents but also
useful for teachers £2.95
Write to Read with ICT : solutions for supporting literacy (£8.50)
To make it easier for everyone to purchase these booklets, recommended
software and hardware, REM have produced a Publications and Resources
catalogue which is circulated to schools with their other catalogues.
As well as containing valuable information, it is presented in a
dyslexia-friendly format.
They will provide extra copies for parents evenings or conferences.
