Is anyone out there looking at the EU's FP6 as a means to fund
evidence-based policy research? See especially Section 4.3.1.1a and b of the
Science and Society workprogramme (http://www.cordis.lu/fp6/society.htm) and
the call at http://fp6.cordis.lu/fp6/call_details.cfm?CALL_ID=51 which is
open until Dec 2003 although it is quite constrained. A network of Œevidence
based research¹ centres/networks might be possible as well as support for
studying and exchanging best practice.

If you are developing something or are interested let me know off or on list
(my specific area of interest is the e-Europe/e-Society policy arena).
