BUGS users,
I'm having trouble implementing a 3-level nested random effects model with unbalanced groups. This is a dental study where the factors are: site, subject (nested in site), and tooth (nested in patient). There are different numbers of subjects from each study site and each subject has different number of teeth, making the data unbalanced. I'm trying to estimate variance components for all the factors ¯- I have multiple measurements on each tooth.
Does anybody have any experience they can share on how on to specify such a model in BUGS? Thank you.
