Anyone come across this Speech Output software/research before?
http://www.asel.udel.edu/speech/ModelTalker.html
It has a free download. In brief - you can create your own speech
database to personalise the speech output.
It could be rigged up as a free voice output system for some users.
It's also very interesting and partially vindicates my normal schpiel
about the potential of VOCAs.
If you're interested in this, then you might also be interested in
Festival:
http://www.cstr.ed.ac.uk/projects/festival/ which is free but needs some
coding to make into a simple VOCA.
Cheers.
