Dear all,
Not strictly an art library question, but does anyone have any strong
feelings about particular library security systems? We're moving in
September and will be installing a security system. Has anyone any
particular views on:
- companies they'd recommend?
- companies they'd recommend avoiding?
- electromagnetic versus radio frequency systems? (our entrance is 1135cm
wide)
- deactivation units versus integral scanners/deactivators?
- strip triggers versus barcode triggers?
- reliability of different products?
Havinf enquired about this earlier in the summer, I've heard from lots of
salesmen - but I'd really like to hear from some librarians!
Many thanks!
