Dear Colleagues,
At CMS we have a number of old 16mm films dating from the 1950s and 60s
which we are keen to transfer onto video tape for viewing purposes, we are
also looking at the best format for their long term storage (there are
already signs of deterioration on some of the films).
I would appreciate any guidance members may have as to the most appropriate
way to store the films for long-term preservation as well as the names of
any recommended companies that offer transfer of film onto video
(unfortunately as a charity, cost is an issue!!).
Many thanks
Ken Osborne
