I wish, I really wish, that we could have digital copies of news cuttings.
As one might expect, there are a fair few references to BT in the media, and
in hard copy they take up an alarming amount of space. We're not even
allowed to scan the hard copies of the ones we already have, for copyright
and contractual reasons.

Subject: Press cuttings - any thoughts?
Dear all,
I am considering a change in our press-cuttings
service. Our provider proposes to provide only
digitally scanned copies of cuttings, rather than
originals: if we wish to continue receiving
originals, that would cost £1.52 per cutting, as
opposed to the current charge of £1.02. The price is,
of course, an issue but mostly I am would like your
opinions on the change from 'original' to copy in a
collection policy.
Thanks,
Gavin Clarke
