I have data from three survey questions:
1) What is your ethnicity:
a) Black
b) White
c) Indian
d) Chinese
e) Mixed
f) Other
2)Have you had whistling or wheezing in the chest in the last 12 months?
a) Yes
b) No
3) How many attacks of wheezing have you had in the last 12 months?
a) None
b) 1 to 3
c) 4 to 12
d) more than 12
I would like some comment on the
statistical significance of the difference of the observed ethnic
differences observed in those students with wheeze in the past 12 months
compared with the ethnic distribution of the study population. Will it be
possible to determine odds ratios for the likelihood of having asthma if one
is of a particular ethnicity? If so, how?
Is there any other important aspects of this analysis that I might have unavoidably omitted, that might be useful for this study?
