The Seventh Iranian Statistical Conference is scheduled to be held at
Allameh Tabatabaie University to discuss the latest developments in
statistics and exchange views with an aim to enhance statistical know-how.
The Conference is open to all those interested in statistical matters
including academics, scholars, researchers, teachers, experts, students, and
other interested persons.

Conference Scientific Programme
1. Invited Paper Meetings: each invited speaker will have 50 minutes to
present his/her paper at the Conference.
2. Contributed Paper Meetings: authors of contributed papers will have 20
minutes to present their papers.
3. Poster Sessions: for those individuals whose papers may be accepted for
this manner of presentation, space will be provided in the Conference
venue.
4. Workshops and Short Courses: for presentation of a variety of statistical
topics.
5. Statistical Round-table Discussions
6. Exhibitions: for software, books, and data dissemination systems.
Important: Those interested in contributing papers to the Conference are
requested to prepare their papers using the LaTeX or Microsoft word. The
papers should be sent to our e-mail address at [log in to unmask] and
saved on a floppy diskette and mailed to the Conference Secretariat Postal
address no later than May 10, 2004.
Instructions for papers intended for publication
1. Papers should discuss important new findings in areas mentioned under
“Suggested topics for contributed papers” and not be published before.
2. Papers should be complete with title, sub-titles, abstract, key words,
introduction, body text divided by related sections, and references prepared
in A4-size format.
Note 1. In order to prepare full papers with LaTeX or Microsoft word it is
necessary to use the special Style File of the Conference based on the
provided templates accessible on the Conference web page.
3. The diskette containing the file of the full paper should have author’s
characteristics including first and last names, name of the related
university or organization on an A4-size format according to the Style File.
4. Papers submitted through facsimile cannot be processed.
Note 2. All the accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of the
Conference and can also be published in other journals after the termination
of the Conference.
Registration
Each individual interested in attending the Conference is required to
complete the registration form on the Conference web site
(http://www.atu-economics.ac.ir/isc7). However, the registration fees can be
paid on site.
Registration fees:
1. The registration fee for participants includes access to all scientific
meetings, exhibition, and social programmes. It also includes all session
materials and the proceedings of the Conference
a) Members of Iranian Statistical Society, US $ 80
b) Other participants, US $ 100
c) Students, US $ 50
2. Hotel accommodation fees will be totally borne by the participants.
Important Points:
1. Participation in the Conference is possible by registration only.
Registration forms received later than July 10, 2004 will not be considered.
2. All costs should be paid simultaneously with registration fees. Payments
cannot be refunded.
3. The Conference authorities will make every effort to make the necessary
reservations at the appropriate hotels preferably close to the Conference
venue.
