Advanced Issues in Clinical Research Course

The aim of the course is to provide training in some of the advanced
issues in clinical trials, epidemiology and statistics. The course is
aimed at physicians, nurses, scientists and other professionals who already
have some experience in clinical research but who would like to increase
their knowledge and develop their skills. Topics will include more complex
study designs, economic evaluation, quality of life issues and data safety
and monitoring. The morning will comprise lectures on these topics and the
afternoon small group sessions to include sample size calculations,
sub-group analysis and interim analysis.
The fee for delegates is £150, this fee includes a copy of the Handbook of
Clinical Trials. Please note that a 20% discount is available for NHS or
University employees. The course will be held at the National Heart and
Lung Institute in London.
