Here at the London Institute we charge £35 to replace a lost degree or
other certificate (together with solicitor's letter of confirmation, or
equivalent). We are now finding increasingly that when students are told
this they ask for a letter confirming their result instead.
If requests for this type of letter continue to grow we may have to
consider charging for it. We would be interested to know whether other
institutions have encountered this problem, and if so whether they make a
charge for producing such a letter.
