Subject: Graduation charges
Dear all -
Does your institution make a charge for attendance of students or their guests at graduation ceremonies? If yes, is the charge made to cover specific costs?
I'd be grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to answer the following questions:
1. Does your University charge graduates or their guests to attend a ceremony and if so, how much did you charge in 2002?
NO CHARGE
2. Are your ceremonies held at an external venue?
YES, LIVERPOOL ANGLICAN CATHEDRAL
3. Is the charge made to specifically cover venue hire costs, hospitality, or general "graduation costs"?
STUDENTS PAY FOR GOWN HIRE. ALL STUDENTS GIVEN A GRADUATION BOOKLET BUT GUESTS CAN BUY ADDITIONAL COPIES [ £5]
4. If a charge is made to cover hospitality, what do you offer graduates and their guests please?
I couldn't trace a recent survey of graduation charges on the mailbase - if there is one, please would someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Thank you, in advance, for any replies.
Liz
