I too am concerned about provision disappearing due to low numbers. I agree
with percentages but would like to see total numbers as well in the Entry
Information table. I also suggest that if a course does not appear due to
'lack of statistical significance', this is indicated on the website, so
that a stakeholder knows a course exists but that the numbers are too small
for any analysis. The HERO website should suggest that the stakeholder uses
the link to the individual institution's website where the course detail may
well appear. I would hope that in the 'list of providers' of the subject
selected, a provider would be listed even if numbers were too small for
analysis with suitable explanatory text.
Did anyone else find problems with the data groups quoted in the textual
statement below the table not matching the data groupings in the table
itself? (amongst various other inconsistencies in the exemplar data)

Does anyone else out there have problems with the proposed Entry
Information
table for the HERO website being populated with numerical data?
As a small institution with provision over 7 JACS subject areas we
tend to
start disappearing in statistical terms.
Our preference would be that this table were produced on a
percentage of
population basis. Providing an overall summary table is made
available to
website users so that they can see the relative sizes of HEIs the
use of
percentages would allow a more direct comparison between
institutions in
terms of profile.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.
