An opportunity too consider the four directives on Equality and Diversity,
and how they can be brought together into one holistic approach.
Target audience
Equality, diversity and human resources practitioners.
To date much attention has been placed on separate equality issues and
legislative changes. This workshop will examine how we can take a more
holistic view of equality and diversity without detriment to any one issue.
It will bring together speakers from a number of institutions which have
been leaders in equality and diversity issues within the sector, who will
demonstrate how they have been working to achieve this in their own
institutions At the end of the session delegates will be able to . .
Identify common strands which can link the various areas of equality and
diversity. Take a strategic view of the equality agenda in Higher Education.
Draw up a strategic plan for equality/diversity issues in their own
institution.
