I can't pretend to answer all your questions, but just
throw a little more into the melting pot.
1. Rosamond comes from the story "Rosamond and the
Purple Jar", in the children's book "The Parent's
Assistant", by Maria Edgeworth (1767 - 1849) and
published in 1804. There is more detail at
http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/spec-coll/Bai/leary.htm
2. and 3. On these I have no idea.
4. Concerning the poem, this is case another where the
title and text differ between "Traffics and
Discoveries" ("Kaspar's Song in Varda") and the
inclusive edition of verse 1885 - 1926 ("Butterflies")
where all but the last reference to 'Psyche' have been
replaced by 'butterflies'. "Songs from Books" refers
to T&D but uses the same title an text as the
Inclusive Edition.
A Swedish poet named Erik Johan Stagnelius did exist
(1793 - 1823) but I haven't found any of his work on
the web in which the swedish word for butterfly
(fjäril) appears.
With best regards
