The best source is really 'A safe place for children' which is the CILIP
policy statement on unsupervised children in libraries. Was on the CILIP
website but was being revised this autumn, so contact Jonathan Douglas at
CILIP if you can't find it.

Andrew,

I suggest you get a hold of the CILIP Working Group report "Start with the
Child" which has been recently published. This has some useful information
and recommendations for planning and operating services for Children.

I would be glad if anyone can send me guidelines/policy they may have on
unsupervised children in libraries.
