Dear colleagues
In Gloucestershire we are planning to pilot kiosk services for communities
where there are barriers to conventional access to library services (through
urban deprivation or rural isolation).
I need to know what other library services are doing about this - are any of
you developing kiosk services, and if so what do you define as a kiosk? Is
it a touch screen kiosk with access to your website and web-based services,
or is it a self-service library complete with books and self issuing
technology ? Or is it something in between these two ?
I am also interested to hear of which suppliers you have used as my current
list of these is very short indeed!
I will be delighted to summarise for everyone if I get enough replies!
Thanks in anticipation
