POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS AT THE INSTITUTE 2002-2003
SYLVIA NAISH RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP
This Fellowship is endowed by a generous bequest from the estate of Sylvia
Naish and is open to applicants domiciled in one of the German-speaking
countries wishing to spend up to two months at the Institute to conduct
research into any area of German language and literature. The Fellowship is
endowed with £1,000 per month for a period not exceeding two months.
FREDERICK NORMAN FELLOWSHIP
Newly endowed by the Friends of the Institute, the Frederick Norman
Fellowship is designed to enable a British Germanist to conduct research at
the Institute in the area of medieval motifs in modern German literature. It
is open to applicants based at a British university, and is endowed with
£1,500 for a period not exceeding one month.
FRIEDRICH GUNDOLF FELLOWSHIP
Funded by the Friends of the Institute, the Friedrich Gundolf Fellowship is
open to Germanists working in the field of Anglo-German literary relations
from the eighteenth century to the present day. It is available to
applicants with a relevant publications record wishing to conduct research
in this particular area at the Institute and is endowed with £1,000 for a
period not exceeding one month.
