Yes its worse than that really, just about everything is incompatible
including
gridftp clients,
gridftp servers,
replica catalogues,
I am sure Steve Burke can add a few more.
As you say this requires a major upgrade across everything. If the
RB is upgraded then even every UI can no longer be used against it.
I am installing things myself now and generally its okay, a couple
of one liners but nothing serious so far in terms of installation.
Should have a good idea by the end of the week how things stand
for next week.
Steve

Dear All,
As I understand it this release uses MDS 2.2 which should be a great
improvement in stability (no more MDS hanging because one site has
droppped out). However it is fundementally incompatible with with the
current version. If I am wrong in this please would somebody correct me.
This means (I think) that we need to have a mass upgrade starting sometime
next week. What do others think?
All the best,
david
