I have been following the list for the past months never having the time to
engage in discussions. I hope I will, once I get the hang of this crazy job
of mine. In order to make a minor contribution to the list, here is the full

in design theory.

Researchers - Design Theory
Two new positions as researchers in design theory are available at Danmarks
Designskole. The positions are based on assistant professor or associate
professor terms and applicable from April 1, 2003.
The applicants must have the necessary scientific qualifications at Ph.d
level and will be placed at assistant professor level or associate professor
level, based on a specific evaluation procedure.
The chairs entail research within Danmarks Designskole' s main areas of
specialization, as well as research based teaching and supervision of
Danmarks Designskole's students. Other duties will be the commitment to
participate and initiate the continued development of professions and
research fields, which in the long term will lead to the restructuring of
Danmarks Designskole to a Danish Design University.
The main areas of specialization at Danmarks Designskole are:
* visual communication and thedigital media
* industrial design, productdesign and design craft
A main issue at Danmarks Designskole is to establish an academic
environment, and consequently a prerequisite is that applicants must agree
to be present on a daily basis.

Pay and terms of employment will be according to agreement between the
Ministry of Finance and AC (The Danish Confederation of Professional
Associations). At present Danmarks Designskole does not have an occupational
structure equivalent to the structure at universities and schools of
architecture, however, Danmarks Designskole will aim at matching the terms
of the above institutions.

· Personal data and a CV as well a complete list of publicized works
· 3 copies of the material on which the applicant intends to rely (max.
7 items)
· Documentation for teaching experience (3 copies)
Applications should be marked "Design research" and sent to Danmarks
Designskole. Deadline December 2, 2002 at 12 o'clock noon.
