Maria
I totally agree the money from Gates and others would be better spent on
social programmes.
I have great problems with medical research which is motivated by 'profit'
and disabled people and 'the poor' have been 'guinea-pigs' for far too
long. There should be an independent body set up by the UN to oversee all
medical research and the safety of drugs. These multi-nationals should be
made more accountable to the people and 'we' all expect to have our basic
human right protected.
I especially have great problems with psychiatric drugs when there is
no-proof and evidence that mental illnesses have an 'organic' cause.
Perhaps the top 100 hundred individuals could fund an 'independent body of
research through the UN ?
Larry, can you start to see why I've brought up the subject of the richest
100 ?
Regards
Col R
