'PEANuT' Project Manager / Research Associate
The Division of Geography is seeking to appoint a Research Associate for a
fixed-term of one year (part-time) in the first instance (with the
possibility of extending the contract if further funding is secured). The
appointment will provide research, training provision, logistics and other
administrative support for the new Northumbria University 'PEANuT'
('Participatory Evaluation and Appraisal in Newcastle upon Tyne') project.
Suitable candidates will have knowledge and experience of participatory
appraisal (PA), expertise in conducting training (preferably in PA), possess
excellent communication skills including I.T., and have a flexible attitude
to work.
Participatory Appraisal (PA) is a community-based approach to consultation
that prioritises the views of local people as 'experts' and their direct or
indirect involvement and action in deciding what happens in their community.
Research Assistant in Human Geography
The Division of Geography is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant for a
fixed time of six months (full time) or preferably one year (part time). The
appointment is available from January 2003 or as soon as possible
thereafter. You will be required to provide research assistant support for a
range of research projects in the broad field of human geography.
Salary: Research Assistant £13,771 - £16,520 per annum
