Hi Amanda
Won't try to condense all this into an email, but sim was done for tw
oprevious projects you might want to follow up.
The Design Faculty at The Robert Gordon University ran a Research Masters
for professional designers that was run online but involved shoprt spells
onsite. The generic skills element ran through this, and involved online
profiling and has an associated virtual environment.
Aberdeen University Summer School gives course on academic skills as part of
Access course, for generic skills, which I developed (and evaluated) on
basis of what around 100 other Universities and Colleges were doing. Some of
this now included in undergraduate courses. Very effective, adn used every
year with very diverse groups from 16-60.
Can dig out stuff if required, and provide some contacts urls if anything in
particular rings bells.
Regards
Jenny Ure
