Martin: I worked for Bank One Corporation (the 6th largest U.S. bank) as a
computer technician for 35 years. After a very bad choice of a merger
partner in 1998/1999, the corporation hired new CEO -- Jamie Dimon?. His
words went something like this "the internet is like a file cabinet turned
upside down".
The reason for my comment is that, there are many more bank systems which
have existed for at least 30 years throughout the world that are in worse
condidition than the 5-7 year old internet and much less secure.
Cheers,
Ernie

Hi,
this quote from Paul Vixie made me laugh,
"The Internet is sort of the cockroach of the modern age," he said, "It
survives."
From a news story, FBI probe attack on the net', BBC News 23rd October
2002. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/2352667.stm
cheers
martin
