I think Rowley's figures are 70 patients between 4 ortho SHOs which seems
reasonable (25k/365).

It depends on what you mean by missed #. Was this a case of 'no # present'
with no FU, or was it 'possible # no harm in waiting' review in 4/7 if not
fully better? The former is poor clinical judgement, the later can be best
clinical practice in the right circumstances.
I don't really follow the logic of the argument here either. I would have
thought that the patient population orthopods see has a higher level of
pathology than the A&E population in general, and this would therefore
encourage them to over-investigate.
