Being a cynic: DPs are awarded on a competitive basis (my own trust awards
the minimum). Therefore giving 3 DPs to a clinical lead reduces everyone
else's chances of getting one. If you're an eligible consultant but not a
lead clinician it is therefore in your best interests wo ensure that you see
and delay thromobolysis in at least one MI in every monitoring period.
