The Art of Evaluation: Artistry, Discipline and Delivery
The United Kingdom Evaluation Society (UKES) is pleased to announce an
interesting and thought provoking programme for its 8th annual conference,
which will take place at the Purcell Room and Royal Festival Hall on
London's South Bank on 12 and 13 December. The conference will be preceded
by a series of pre-conference workshops at the Park Crescent Conference
Centre on 11 December.
The conference theme, The Art of Evaluation, reflects that the emerging
profession of evaluation can involve a creative process during the design
phase. The range of methodological approaches is also widening, including a
growing range of creative approaches and tools for evaluation. During the
conference, there will be time to explore how approaches to evaluating the
arts might contribute to stimulate thinking in the evaluation of other areas
of practice.
The conference has five main themes that will be explored through plenary
speakers, paper presentations, workshops and round tables:
* use of evaluation
* participatory and innovative models
* evaluation of the arts
* evaluation of international development
* policy evaluation
