I imagine Kim's birthdate must be a well-researched topic, though
I can't say I've ever come across anything decisive on it.
Do the experts consider May 1885 to be consistent with other

The earthquake struck at around 2:45 am local time and rocked the entire
Vale of Kashmir. It was much more violent than a previous quake in 1828.
The epicentre of the quake was 7 kilometres NW of Khurom (Jammu & Kashmir),
India,
Or 35.3 kilometres NNW of Sopor (J & K), India,
Or 69.7 kilometres NW of Srinagar (J & K), India,
Or 155 kilometres NE of Islamabad, Pakistan,
Or 214 kilometres NNW of Jammu (J & K), India,
Or 721 kilometres NNW of New Delhi (N.C.T.), India
Between 1500 and 3000 people were killed and damage to property was
extensive. Much of the city of Srinagar was ruined. Large ground cracks were
reported. There were also unconfirmed reports of some sort of gaseous
discharge like in the 1905 Kangra earthquake. Sand craters were also formed.
The earthquake was felt as far away as Shimla, Lahore and Peshawar.
