Veneration of a human being for his or her sanctity and/or ability to
intercede isnot restricted to the those who have been pfficially canonized
or beatified. If it were, all the people honoring Padre Pio would be
outlaws! And the miracles needed for canonization or beatification come from
people seeking help through the intercession of someone *before*
canonization or beatification.
I doubt that your exchanging relics will stand in your way of becoming
Ambassador to the Vatican. More likely, they'd be upset about your creating
matching sets of "relic"jewelry. ;)
