Temporary Lectureship in Electronic Communication
The School of Library, Archive and Information Studies at UCL invites
applications for a temporary lectureship in Electronic Communication. The
post is available from 23 September 2002 until 31 January 2003.
The person appointed will participate in the teaching of the MA in
Electronic Communication and Publishing in the area of Internet
Technologies. This covers concepts of markup, website structuring and
design, the issues involved in generating and delivering content
dynamically, the syntax of hypertext markup, cascading stylesheets, SQL,
database design and integration, manipulation of images, site structuring,
visual design and user interaction.
The successful candidate will specialize in and be able to teach Website
design/usability and Internet technologies (including XHTML, CSS, and
integrating databases with the Web).
The lectureship is offered with a salary of up to the equivalent of £24,435
full-time. London Allowance of £2,134 (full-time equivalent) is also
payable.
